He works hard & his values show in his kids who are awesome. It’s 2 days left before CHristmas. His kids have NO gifts and all they asked for was an X-Box. Carl has $300 which includes his tithes. After returning from church and paying his tithes Carl has $100 left when the doorbell rings. It’s his next door neighbors 20 year old daughter (a known junkie & prostitute) with an X-box that she won at a raffle. She tells Carl that she needs $50 and she throws in “I ain’t gone lie….My boy is waiting & I need this cuz we about to get high. I’m about to go pawn it, but I thought I would ask you first since I know your kids said they want one.” Did God answer Carl’s prayers because He was faithful with his tithe? Is this a blessing or a test? What should Carl do? With this in mind, Lisa is seriously considering approaching her pastor for a benevolent loan, but she’s never heard of anyone “borrowing” their tithe, plus she doesn’t want to be accused of not rightly dividing the scriptures. Let God heal you!!</p>http://roybright.org/post/13608116469http://roybright.org/post/13608116469Thu, 01 Dec 2011 17:27:42 -0600<p>As a Christian parent, you teach your children the Godly value of abstinence until marriage.  Once they leave your immediate covering, is it UNgodly to buy them condoms? </p>http://roybright.org/post/12494542282http://roybright.org/post/12494542282Mon, 07 Nov 2011 20:03:02 -0600<p>Time has no influence on the Kingdom of God.  In other words, the Kingdom of God operates without the constraint of time.  What challenges most Christians is not their initial belief that God can or will do something, but it is the fact that the longer the time passes between what you heard God say and it’s physical manifestation, the surety of that word will be both questioned and tested.</p> <p>If you can hold on to your belief long enough for it to be manifested you will have what He promised!!  Remember the story of the fig tree?  I have done a lot of teaching on this subject but I want to lift one concept for your consideration today.  The bible is clear that when Jesus cursed the tree the disciples heard it!  I have wondered why the bible needed to state the fact that they heard it.</p> <p>It’s important to know that they heard it specifically because He wasn’t talking to them.  Jesus was speaking to a THING which logically (at least our logic) does not have the capacity to hear!!!!!!!  And certainly, if it can not hear, it can not respond. Don’t trust YOUR logic!!  If what can not hear can respond, what about you?????  The next day as they were passing back by the tree, Peter makes a point to tell Jesus that the tree He cursed had in fact died.</p> <p>Jesus then does something that blows my mind! His response to Peter was not a long drawn out explanation, but a simple instruction - HAVE FAITH IN GOD!  What does that mean in the context of our faith?  It means, TRUST WHAT YOU HEARD AND NOT WHAT YOU SEE!! </p> <p>Jesus had to get Peter to understand even if we had not come back this way and you had the ability to see the results of my words; if you could not tell by just looking at it; if none of the symptoms of cursing were visible; don’t worry about what you see ( your natural eyes will lie to you), trust what you heard!</p> <p>I want to encourage you today to not let the passage of time cause your faith to wane.  Even if you don’t see the physical manifestations of what God has said to you yet……………………..HAVE FAITH IN GOD!!!!!!!!!</p>http://roybright.org/post/12472103545http://roybright.org/post/12472103545Mon, 07 Nov 2011 11:06:05 -0600<p>Repost from a friend’s page: Pastor Alex (27) and First Lady Kelly (25) have been married for 3 years.
